Meet the people who made it possible!

Mark Teasdale — Owner

Mark Teasdale, the owner of the World’s Largest Paddle, moved to the Golden BC area in 1998 after many years of sailing and working around the world. Mark is dedicated to sharing his passion for the Columbia River and its diverse wetlands and connecting people with nature in this beautiful area.

Chris and Mo Teasdale — Guide and Sales

Chris and Mo, Mark's parents, share his love for the Columbia River and the wetlands. They journeyed around the world for 7 years aboard their own sailboat, which means they have a lot of stories to tell. Their outgoing, adventurous personalities make them the perfect hosts.

Dave Stonehouse — Master Woodworker

Dave Stonehouse, the principal log home builder at Stonehouse Woodworks, first met Mark in 1993 while tree planting in northern BC. He has since worked with Mark on a number of projects including the office construction, and building/reconditioning Mark’s log barn.

Christina Spence — Sales Coordinator

Christina, usually located in the office at the World’s Largest Paddle, has been a Columbia River Valley local since 1996. Her local knowledge combined with her love of outdoor recreation makes her a valuable resource for visitors seeking activities, restaurants, and accommodation.

Stephen Shaw – River Guide

Steve, a recent graduate from the tourism program in Golden BC, is the newest addition to the team! Steve grew up in Ontario and spent his summers canoeing and kayaking throughout northern Ontario. He fell in love with British Columbia’s pristine wildlife and untouched nature, and looks forward to sharing the rugged beauty of the surrounding mountains with his guests!

Our goal is to give you a fun, interactive experience at the World’s Largest Paddle while enjoying the stunning landscape of the Columbia River Valley.
