Things to do at the World’s Largest Paddle

Planning your road trip?

Completing a “big things” tour of BC?

Looking for kid-friendly family activities near Golden BC?

Complete the experience with a visit to Columbia Wetlands Outpost, a popular visitor attraction.

After visiting the world’s largest paddle, take a short hike down to the riverfront via the nature walk and suspension bridge. Enjoy a scenic picnic on the Columbia Wetlands Outpost dock, or rent a canoe, kayak or SUP (stand up paddleboard) to explore the river and surrounding wetlands on your own with our highlights map. Our smallest travellers enjoy splashing around in pedal boats in the protected waters of Loon Lagoon.

Want a captain to come with the craft? You can take advantage of a family-friendly Columbia Wetlands Outpost guided float tour, which accesses the valley’s quiet beauty in a comfortable cataraft. Learn about and view some of the 350 bird and mammal species to be found in the area with one of our knowledgeable guides.

For those who prefer to keep their feet dry, our dock is furnished with comfortable lounge furniture complete with ottomans. Relax, put your feet up, and soak in the views while your friends and family enjoy our boat rental options.
